Ten things about Alix

Instead of a biography

  • Alix was inventing and telling stories long before she learned how to read or write, and just continued with that once she knew how to put letters on paper to form words.
  • She likes her men tall, dark and beautiful. And smart. And hot. And courageous. And…
  • If given the choice between a romance movie and an action or SF movie, she’ll pick the action movie. Usually the men are much hotter anyway and tend to lose their shirts – a lot.
  • She should not be allowed into a bookstore without close supervision. Forbidden Planet in London is especially dangerous. There have been instances where she had to physically be dragged out of a bookstore by well-meaning friends.
  • Given the choice between vampires and werewolves, Alix will always pick the vampires. As long as they don’t sparkle. Or are so emo that they are just asking for a stake.
  • When she’s not writing or reading, she enjoys knitting, mostly socks and scarves. One can never have enough socks or scarves. Yarn-shops btw are just as dangerous as bookstores.
  • One of the books she regularly re-reads is Jane Austen’s Pride and Prejudice. Because it’s Elizabeth Bennet. And Darcy. And the Bennets in general.
  • Alix sometimes has heated debates with her characters. Her characters tend to be just as obstinate as she can be.
  • Coffee is not one of her vices. But tea is, especially green tea with lemon, Oolong and Lady Grey.
  • Both of her parents are numbers-people, so everyone is still wondering where her affinity for words comes from.

You can always contact Alix if you want to know more or have any questions.
